• Onaga sensei becomes honorary consul of Latvia to Okinawa
  June, Naha Okinawa, Japan

• Dr. Artis Pabriks (Fukushibu-cho of the Riga dojo) received san-dan (3-dan) while visiting Okinawa June 2007
• Mr. Roberto Mesa (Fukushibu-cho of the Seymour TN dojo) was promoted to ni-dan (2-dan) during the International Gasshuku in Seattle

A little-known martial art survives in Okinawa, the place that gave birth to karate.

 Karate was traditionally said to be derived from a combination of the ancient Okinawan martial art of "Ti" and a Chinese martial art. Even experts were long unsure, however, about how "Ti" was done. Welshman C.W. Nicol first came to Japan 45 years ago in order to learn karate. He travels to Okinawa to discover "Ti", the root of karate.
