The Kokusai Shinjinbukan

The official meeting to establish the Kokusai Shinjinbukan and discuss the structure of the organization occurred on Saturday August 18th, on the dojo floor of the Issaquah dojo.

During the meeting, the Kokusai Shinjinbukan International By-laws were distributed and discussed by Onaga sensei with his deshi, along with invited comments from others who attended. The meeting was an historic event as it brought together the largest gathering of Onaga sensei’s deshi and their students ever assembled.

Students from Canada, the United States, Okinawa, and Argentina attended for this auspicious occasion. Several other students invited from other styles were also in attendance. During the meeting, the structure of the Shinjinbukai was established and the International By-laws were adopted. The By-laws have subsequently been published in Japanese, English and Spanish.

In addition, the Board of Directors was chosen by Onaga sensei and will serve as an advisory board to Onaga sensei as the head of the Kokusai Shinjinbukan and Shinjinbukai. The meeting was a great success and Onaga Dai sensei appeared pleased to have accomplished these important tasks.
